1st Update- Getting Fatter?

Hi again,

So hows the training going? Thats the question I get asked ALL the time!! talk about the pressure. But honestly the training isnt going too badly.. I can get up Dunstable downs without stopping, and getting out on the bike most days.. This week every day apart from Wednesday (it was raining and I had just washed my hair).

Theres one thing I dont understand from the last couple of weeks training.. my app tells me most days I am burning over 300cals.. however I am putting weight on!!!! this isnt fair,,,, serious I went to put a work dress on the other day and I couldnt do it up!! and my legs are not becoming all toned!! This is why I have never been big on exercise, I think its a lie you can become slim from it...ok,ok I might award myself with a cake or something after my ride, but still!

Also I am FREAKING out... I have been watching Gordan Rameys meals in Cambodia and Vietnam TV programme.. So far I watched him eat snake and spider!!  I am going to have to bring a suitcase full of cereal bars... but on the plus side maybe I will loose weight then.. 5 days 400k...if I dont then, me and my body are going to have to have words.

Anyway as always please sponsor me on http://www.justgiving.com/McLoBao-VCam2011

I will love you forever and ever xxx

Thanks and happy weekend x

Hellloooooo

Hello hope you are all doing well....

Well why are you here reading this blog stuff?? You will probably know me from either school, uni, work, friend of a friend, lucky enough to be an ex or maybe I have met you from a party (if so i am sorry about that  wine glass, hope it wasnt expensive...).

Well no matter  how well you know me, I am sure you will be able tell that I am not really one of those 'sporty' girls... and probably more of a indoor kinda person. With that in mind, I hope your all sitting down for this bomb shell................you ready???. Ok, both myself and one of my best buddies are doing a 400k, cycle ride over 5 days in Vietnam and Cambodia... I know I am crazy, and dont know what came over me but I have commited to it now, and am gonna kick Vietnam and Cambodias butt.

Why you may ask?? Why would you do this to yourself? Well...... I really wanted to do something for charity, and not just any charity one that was close to my heart, one that doesn't get a great deal of exposure, and one that will make a great difference. The charity that I'm doing this this for is: Women for Women (Genesis Trust).

The money I raise from this cycle ride will  be spent on vital ground-breaking medical research to improve the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a range of devastating conditions that cause brain injury, miscarriage, genetic diseases, infertility and cancer affecting women and their babies.

Once every couple of weeks I shall try and update this blog with the highs and lows of my training, things like how many times we manage to fall off the bike  (we could do bets :)),  horific weather conditions, the ice baths.. and the amount of pasta I should be eating.. its gonna be fun.... .

I would also like to thank the people who already believe in me and have sponsored me (some might say your a little deluded).. but seriously THANK YOU very much...

For those of you who havent sponsored me yet, fear not you still have time :)
